: Welded tubular steel with expanded
metal floor and 6" toe plate. Recessed top rail to
eliminate pinch points, easy entry half gate. 500 lbs. (227
kg) capacity, unrestricted, with boom in any position. Upper
control box is sealed to protect the components from the
elements. Easy-to-read decal. Replacement decal is designed
to "slip over" without removal of any controllers
or switches. All boom and drive functions are fully
proportional.
Boom Design:
Catrac is externally mounted and protected by a
cover to avoid damage. Hydraulic hosing is designed with
bulkhead sections to allow field replacement without
complete disassembly. All slide pads are serviceable from
front or rear of boom. Four-plate top hat boom design
assures consistent quality and maximum strength at the
lowest weight.
Rough Terrain Capability:
Gradeability on the standard 2-wheel drive is 42%, adequate
for most job sites. Optional 4-wheel drive increases
gradeability to 70%. Optional oscillating axle extends the
drive system traction capability by maintaining all wheels
on the ground. Has lock-out feature and 8" of wheel
travel.
Stowed Height:
7'11" (2.4 m) allows the unit to pass through an 8'
door.
Steering:
2-wheel is industry competitive. Optional 4-wheel steering
includes 2-wheel, 4-wheel and crab steer at the flip of a
switch which affords this unit unsurpassed maneuver-ability.
Crab steer allows 16.5" (0.42 m) of side travel for
each 24" (0.61 m) of forward or reverse travel.
Chassis:
Chassis is designed so options such as 4-wheel drive,
oscillating axle and 4-wheel steer can be installed without
any chassis modification.
Drive System:
Hydrostatic drive provides smooth response and excellent
maneuverability. Posi-Traction low speed/free flow high
speed drive system and 2 drive modes. Low. speed flow
dividers assure even flow to each motor and restrict flow so
that all oil doesn't flow to a free spinning wheel. High
speed bypasses the flow dividers to keep the system oil cool
for longer driving distances. When the boom is raised above
horizontal or extended, the unit is in creep speed mode.
High speed drive is 5.25 mph in either 2-wheel or 4-wheel
drive to get you to the work area faster.
Weight:
T40 has a gross weight of 13,000 lbs. T46J has a gross
weight under 15,750 lbs (with a 6' Jib). Both units are
designed to be self-loading and are light enough to legally
transport two units on one truck.
Accessibility:
Gas shocks make lifting the fiberglass covers easy for an
unobstructed access to components. A hydraulic integrated
manifold valve is designed so options can be accommodated by
simply adding another cartridge valve. Engine is completely
accessible. Exhaust, muffler and air cleaner utilize common
mounts for all engine options. Flow dividers and rotary
manifold are accessible by easily removable chassis covers.
:
Secondary control system conveniently located at the base of
the unit at eye level. Features easy to identify symbols for
all functions. Lower control box is sealed and protected
from the elements.
Mechanic On Board:
CONDOR uses a state-of-the-art microprocessor-based control
system. It is designed with an integrated 4-character
alphanumeric red LED intelligent display and intelligent
alphanumeric LCD display with back light for night time
operation. These displays are used to report the status of
the sensors, outputs, serial communication, etc. to the
machine operator.
Standards:
All CONDOR units are constructed to current ANSI and CSA
specifications.
