:
The proportional drive controller with the integrated thumb
switch for steering, along with the selector switch,
emergency stop switch, start switch, dual fuel switch and
aux switch, are all mounted in a NEMA electrical enclosure
that is sealed to protect them from the elements. All boom
functions are proportionally controlled with 4-way, 3
position valves, mounted in front of the NEMA electrical
enclosure.
Drive System:
A hydrostatic closed loop circuit with series or parallel
drive. It also has a "positraction" feature which
is operational when the system is in parallel drive. If one
wheel or axle is spinning the greater pressure then drops
across that spool of the divider/combiner cartridge shifting
it and equalizing the flow. This ensures that both wheels or
both axles will have power.
Weight:
A42RT has a gross weight of 13,500 lbs. It is designed to be
self-loading and it is light enough to legally transport two
units on one truck.
Accessibility:
Accessibility to the engine is provided with a swing door on
each side of the chassis plus a removable top cover. All
hydraulic components are in the front of the chassis, which
has a removable cover.
Ground Controls: Electrical and
hydraulic ground controls are mounted on the left side of
the turret (when viewed from the platform). All electrical
components are in a NEMA electrical enclosure that is sealed
to protect them from the elements. All hydraulic components
have a ~ removable cover over them.
Steering :
2-wheel steering is industry competitive with an outside
turning radius of 15' (4.6m). The steering is done through a
Piggy-Back pump that is mounted to the end of the
hydrostatic pump, which supplies pressure and flow to
operate steering.
Chassis: Chassis is
designed so the optional 4-wheel drive can be installed
without any chassis modification.
Rough terrain capability:
Gradeability on the 2-wheel drive is 28% (15.50), adequate
for most job sites. Optional 4-wheel drive increases
gradeability to 32% (17~). The 2-wheel drive unit has the
drive and steering in the same axle for improved
terrain ability. High speed drive is 3.0 mph (4.8 kmh) and
low speed is 1.5 mph (2.4 kmh), creep speed is 0.75 mph (1.2
kmh).
Stowed Height:
The stowed height is only 7' 8", which allows the unit
to go through an 8' door.
Standards: All
CONDOR units meet or exceed ANSI (A92.6-1992) design and
test standards required by the American National Standards
Institute and OSHA.
